Gucci Mane - Trap Back

Gucci Mane is back from hiatus after being in and out of jail and he comes bearing gifts in the form of his new mixtape Trap Back. Gucci took it back to the basics on this one, it's remniscent of his earlier mixtapes like Chicken Talk and Hard To Kill. This tape is full of hard hitting, bass quaking beats from the likes of producers such as Sonny Digital, Lex Luger, Zaytoven, Drumma Boy and Mike Will. He also has several features; fellow coke rappers Yo Gotti, Future, Rocko, label mate Waka Flocka and one of the hottest rappers in the game right now, 2 Chainz. This is definitely one of my favorite Gucci Mane projects and became an instant classic. The best tracks on here in my opinion is "Back In '95", "Get It Back", "Thank You", "Blessing", "Club Hoppin", and "Sometimes." I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Gucci Mane or coke rap in general. Click the link to download after the jump.

Big K.R.I.T. 4Eva N A Day

4eva N A Day is the third free album from Mississippi native Big K.R.I.T. It carries the same theme from his two previous albums as well. It's the same country-sounding, underdog, motivational themes music were accustomed to. I feel that with each album that he keeps getting even better. Not only is he the lone artist featured throughout all fifteen tracks, but he also produced all of the beats and mastered all of the songs. The only help he got was in form of a saxophone and guitar solo. I also loves how he sets up the album revolving around one day and the events that take place in that day. The standouts of this album in my opinion is "Wake Up", which is basically about waking up, literally & figuratively and seizing all of your opportunities instead of wallowwing in your own sorrow. In "Boobie Miles" he reinterates over and over that if you fall, you must get up and try again until you prevail. "Down & Out" is about the way people cope with their daily problems of living in poverty or getting abused through drugs and/or alcohol. "Temptation" is about him falling for the allure of women in strip clubs. 4eva N A Day in my opinion is the best project that has been released so far this year. Live.Love.A$ap is the second project from up and coming Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky. He received a huge buzz after his second video, "Purple Swag", debuted from his first mixtape, Deep Purple. From then on he has been getting bigger and bigger. Although Live.Love.A$ap was released on Halloween of 2011, I still feel it's one of the best mixtapes that's available right now. He has been living up to the hype of his $3 million contract from Sony/Polo Grounds Records. He has his own style which consists of other styles that he blends together (Texas screwed & chopped style, with a New York bravado and fashions from high end designers like Maison Martin Margiela.) And he raps about normal everyday things that young adults would connect to like partying, drinking, smoking, women, fly clothes, etc. I still listen to this mixtape daily and would encourage you to do the same. So hit the download link to find out what all the hype is actually about.
